Memoreze has been hosting a few events to get the venue kicked off right. Here are the particulars:
Tables are on free play! Yes, there's no better way to invite players out to practice and try out a new establishment than offering unlimited free games. So far, no table fee, beginners and newbies play absolutely free of charge. It has brought a lot of new players out (and back out again) to practice and try to get good. Fridays have been going good for all of February. If we keep that going, we will see an expansion unseen in St Louis for decades. Meaning several machines, bigger potential turnouts and more player-friendly events. Don't let this opportunity get away folks.
Wednesdays I have decided to do the same as Friday with the adds.. Every 5 teams, I add another $50, no limit. The $ will be distributed between singles and doubles according to participation. Same schedule as always, Wednesday is 7PM singles, 8:30 doubles. I know, some of you are thinking, what the heck? Simultaneous tournaments! Well, I just think I offer the right thing to the right group of people, and that mine is slightly superior which should tip the scale in my favor. It might just take a little time to get y'all to see the light. Time will tell I guess. I'm happy either way. Competition is good for growth,
I was planning to do my complete schedule as before with Sundays being a Pro-Am bring, but it is a bit much for me now anyway, and the players in the area of the other venue seem perfectly happy to shell out for that event, so in support of the game I am only inviting players out for some friendly practice and pick-up, per request, until things start to pick up.
I'm not sure what happened to league night? If they are switching nights or venues, we need to hear the soop. I can't think of when there was a better time to be a foosball player in St Louis. We'll turn this place into a pro tour stop once again. Enjoy everybody!
