Thinking of having a small warm up for the Ohio State tournament at my house Saturday, October 11th. I have one Warrior table and one 30th Anniversary Tornado coin op. Three bedroom house so I do have some air mattresses for those needing to stay the night.

Figured we'd have a Bring and a Draw on the Warrior table and maybe a singles tournament using both for anyone interested. It's not that we can't use both tables .... just figured everyone needs the time on the Warrior. Obviously limited tables so this will not be an open tournament for anyone to just show up the day of .... but rather an RSVP type event.

Should be able to put together at least three teams locally so probably no more than 3-4 teams additional.

If this is the Scott Doan who used to live in Destin in the NW Florida Panhandle region, and played in Tampa and other places with our Cheryl Kobal (nee Marinaro), please say hello.  We were wondering where he'd gone off to.  If he is, tell him to show you his and Cheryl's pregame "stretch" routine.

I'll certainly tell her!  You remember Jeff Kobal?  They married (2nd for both of them) about 3 months ago and just moved into their new house last weekend!  It's like a real-life Eight-is-Enough household, with her two daughters, Jeff's three kids, plus their li'l cousin who's there all the time!   Both of them haven't had much time for foos, but they're gonna be there for our Florida States next weekend.   You have to understand, people are still talking about your prematch stretches!!  And remember little Bianca Pruitt, Casey's daughter that Cheryl, Tina, Bobby Diaz and Arthur Mitchell helped raise money for at Rudy's for FL States?  She's grown!

Have fun at Ohio States!  If you see my ole friend Matt Flannery. (I trained him and his buddies Zach and Mike Dechert, back when I was an engineer for Packard Electric (GM) in Warren Ohio) say hello! 

And good luck to you, although SHARK BOY never needs any luck ... he makes it!!!   Although I still can't see you as a Kentuckian.   And What the Hey are you doin' in Morehead? Close enough to Lex, I guess, and Mary and Ryan and birthday boy Kurt..

Shark boy?  Do tell!  We would love to hear some dirt on Scott!  He seems waaayyy too nice to be real. 

And no, Scott isn't here (on my computer), he just can't (like hundreds of others) get an account on foosworld, so he asked me to post his warm up thread here for him.  I sent you a PM with his email so you guys can chat directly.

You're so right!  The majority of our South Florida contingent, met Scott for the first time when he and Cheryl were paired up for doubles matches in Florida States (06, 07 methinks) after they met when Cheryl was touring pretty heavily in 05 and 06, probably in Atlanta.  Very quiet, unassuming "blond" drink 'o water" (those are kym's and tina's words ) with no attitude and a very deadly fooser & great partner, who really played well with Cheryl.  They took 5th in Experts and 3rd in mixed, the last time, in Tampa, I think.  They've always done well.  So of course our SoFlo crew immediately adopted this guy from the Northwest Panhandle resort area of Florida, who couldn't get enough foos in that very foosquiet region.  I'm an Iowa State Cyclone engineer, and our Promoter-IntlAmbassador-TournamentD-WebDev Mark Winker's (Mr UBERNETFOOS himself) parents are also both Cyclones.  So we had a good feel for that part of his midwest background, too.  He has a knack for drawing out the best in his partner, AND the quirky quacky part, too, hahahahaha!   He's a good'un, but don't tell him that!

And yes, I will certainly tell the newly minted Mrs. Cheryl Kobal nee Marinaro hello from ya!  I'll see them next weekend for the Florida States in Sunrise (N Ft Lauderdale).  Jeff and Cheryl will probably go back and see you at Kentucky and Atlanta or NC, as soon as they get settled in.  Then, ahem, the Queen of FoosPics (what else did Dwayne and your other drooling fans call you?) can snap more pics of them, too.  And I hope you got over that flu (perhaps that funky SamYangGuy flu?) or whatever that stopped you from watching the finals last weekend.
