Hey All! Wanted to give some feedback on Bocca Billiards and the brand new Tornado tables they put in.
First
off, Bocca could be possibly the best thing that has happened for
Cincinnati Foosball in a long time. No offense to Mike E. and the
legacy/tradition that Slammers held, but I always felt that we needed a
new location. The room is huge (compared to what we're used to), there
is plenty of parking, great atmosphere and even has a bar right in the
foos area. Everyone was really friendly and seemed excited to
accommodate all the foosers! The place wasn't even that busy (maybe
10-12 foosers), but it was cool to see crowds (pool players) forming
around the tables to see what the buzz was about. It may have
something to do with Ryan pounding the ball all night long! LOL!
Also, it's been so long since I've seen quarters lined up on the table
all night! I miss that! It wasn't a tournament, just foosers havin'
fun trying to drill each other! Everyone seemed to be smiling all
night! Jim could easily add more tables with local interest/support.
This couldn't have happened at a better time considering we lost our
old favorite...Slammers! I can't wait for everybody to see this
place!
As for the tables...Oh my!!! These are by far the best
tables I've seen Tornado put out in years! With all the Warrior I've
been playing lately, I almost forgot how great the Tornado really is.
First time in years that I'd consider getting another one, but wouldn't
even think about it until I'm sure this is the table they are gonna
start rebuilding the company with. I hope I'm not let down, as so many
of you have been, by changes that have consistantly been made literally
season to season. Keep this table...it is the "one"! One negative
would be the score markers which are a little too close together in my
opinion. Easy fix tho! Didn't really notice the rods bending, but I
would imagine over time they will considering feedback from Texas
State.
So that's it for now! I hope everyone comes out for the
June 13 and 14th Tournament so we can properly thank Jim, TJ, and any
others that were involved in making this a first class foosball club!
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

PS: Ryan...Jess, I and all of our animals agreed that you are welcome here anytime! Stephie misses cuddling with you already! Yes, Ryan and my Black Headed Caique (bird) started dating over the weekend...LOL!
