We are going to try to do a round robin (everyone plays with everyone atleast once) 4 on 4 for $5 a person.  Top 4 people get paid and split the entire pot.

Kyle tried to explain this format to me and I didn't get it...but I am 99% sure I will be there to play it!  Anyone playing the full team event in Vegas really needs to practice the 4-on-4 format, as that is the deciding factor in many of the matches.  For those not going to Vegas, it is still super fun! 

After the 4-on-4 thing Donna will run a regular DYP.  Both events will count towards the 6 sheets you need to qualify for Vegas league events.

So it is pretty much snowing like hell up here in Indy.  If this is the case through tomorrow and the roads are "crappy", what is the deal with the remaining Bocca's that will count toward league?  Thanks in advance cause I need to plan accordingly.

Next Saturday, February 13, is the last day for people to qualify for league for Vegas.  It is also the day we need to get all the entry sheets filled out and all money collected by me so that I can send it all in together so we are entered to play. 

The following people have told me they are either going or thinking of going to Vegas and ARE QUALIFIED TO PLAY (completed enough sheets):

Again...these are the people who have enough sheets in to qualify for Vegas. 

JERRY PARDUE has 2 more sheets to go to be qualified.  He can get those in this Saturday (4-on-4 practice followed by a DYP) or next Saturday  (BYP followed by a DYP).

According to my records, the following people have paid me the $20 league dues:

Donna Carroll, Kyle Stall, Angie Stewart, Gus Bahas, Jerry Pardue, Mason Graham, Jim Fernella.

If you are on the above list, you have paid your league $20 (or you gave it to me while I was playing foosball and I forgot to write it down).  If you are not on the list, you must pay me $20 by Feb. 13 or you won't be a TFL league member (or if you have paid me and I don't have note of it just let me know). 

Everyone who is going to play in Vegas (with the exception of Donna who has paid me for 2 events) will need to bring me $50 entry fee per event on or before Feb. 13.  There are 4 possible events for each person to play...Women's or Men's singles,  Regular Doubles, Roto Mixed Doubles, and Full Team Event.  I will need to have filled out entries for all of us by Feb. 13 so we need to work out all teams and partners and such by then. 

We also need at least 4 people to represent our charter at the annual banquet.  These tickets are $35 and include some food/drinks/entertainment.  The "real" tournament pauses for dinner break during this banquet so you won't have to worry about missing matches.  Used to be held at the Top of the Riviera restaurant, so not sure where they will hold it at Harrah's.  The awards ceremony (trophy presentation) is held here, so if you want to attend that you need to buy a ticket!

If weather is bad tomorrow don't push it to come play..,.you guys are mostly set and Jerry can get his last 2 in next week.  But if it is nice, come work on 4-on-4!  It is a tricky event that can win or lose you a title in the team event!   If the weather is bad next Sat (the 13th) we will deal with that when it comes. 

I hope this clears everything up!  If there is anyone who I haven't mentioned here who is thinking about or planning on going to Vegas and wants to play league...please let me know!

Also, remember you don't have to play league to join TFL.  For $20 you get current standing in the points book, Table Talk Magazine for a year, 10% off your packages at Tornado majors, and no need to pay USTSA dues for a year!  Just let me know if you want to give me your $20 and be a member for a year!
